Quite a number of Nollywood movies that were billed to screen in the cinemas, prior to the whole Covid-19 pandemic, were indefinitely postponed. However, with the recent and gradual restoration of normalcy, these are the anticipated titles every movie lover cannot wait to see. 

1. Sanitation Day

The plot that centres on two people: Inspector Hassan (Blossom Chukwujekwu) and Inspector Stanley (Elozonam Ogbolu). The chronological setting is 2016, and they are faced with the task of uncovering the perpetrators of a gruesome murder before sanitation day ends and movement resumes. Sanitation day is directed by Seyi Babatope who also doubles as the Executive Producer.

The movie stars Nse Ikpe-Etim, Charles Inojie, Baaj Adebule, Chris Okagbue, Belinda Effah among others.

 2. Ratnik

Ratnik is a daring leap into the Sci-fi universe. It will be hitting the cinemas at a time when most of the Nollywood movies to be released are based on comedy, drama, epic and other movie genres.

Ratnik tells the story of a World War III soldier, Sarah Bello (Osas Ighodaro) who returns home from the war to find out that her only sister has abused some kind of chemical substance. The story develops into a twisted plot where the most advanced war machine known to man is born. We will be expecting to see star actors like Bolanle Ninalowo, Adunni Ade, Paul Utomi, and others. 

 3. Mama Drama

Just like its title, this is a drama filled movie that tells the captivating tale of a surrogate mother. Although this movie first premiered back in March, the effects of the Corona virus caused it to be pulled back. Directed by Seyi Babatope, Osas Ighodaro will be starring in this movie, alongside Kehinde Bankole, Femi Adebayo, Adunni Ade, Opeyemi Aiyeola, and Kunle Remi among many more. This movie is set to be released on Independence Day (October 1, 2020). 

 4. Unroyal

This movie was billed for screen release in cinema from the 20th of March, 2020. Produced by Matilda Lambert, the movie stars IK Ogbonna, Linda Osifo, Pete Edochie, Shaffy Bello, and Blossom Chukwujekwu. 

 5. Love and Poverty

Love and Poverty has been set for release on July 30, 2020. The movie will be starring Hamza Abdullah, Princess Duene Duene, Mariam Jimoh, Adama Joseph, and Emmy Williams. 

 6. Love Like A Fire

Written and directed by Aniedi Awah Nova, this is yet another post-COVID-19 movie that had been scheduled to be released on the 31st of July, 2020. It will feature More Duncan, Khing Bassey, Mercy Macjoe, and Claret Onukogu. 

 7. Love Feast

Love Feast is going to be a romance movie set for release on August 8, 2020.  Despite the effects that the Coronavirus pandemic has had on the movie industry, and entertainment industry as a whole (both home and foreign), we are confident that the rest of the year will be filled with very awesome movies.

8. Lemonade

Originally, Lemonade was scheduled for release in February 2020. Produced by Joy Idoko and directed by Lummie Edevbie, it will Guest feature former senator, Dino Melaye! Along with other stars like Linda Osifo and Kunle Remi.

9. Bad Comments

We definitely have no bad comments about this movie ‘Bad Comments’, directed by Moses Inwang. The movie would be starring the likes of Jim Iyke, Chiwetel Agu, Sharon Ooja, Osas Ighodaro and Young John the music producer! 

10. 2 Weeks in Lagos

Directed by Moses Inwang. The movie would be starring the likes of Jim Iyke, Chiwetel Agu, Sharon Ooja, Osas Ighodaro and Young John the music producer!
